| Hello, My name
is Maria Kerr and I would like to let you know a little bit
about me and my life journey. I live and work in Stony
Brook, NY and enjoy the flexibility that is afforded to me
by practicing my work in a home based office. My office is
warm and welcoming, offering clients a sense of well being
and compassion. It is there that I practice Psychotherapy
and Individual Hypnosis. My compassion for others, and the belief that we human beings can and should reach our full potential, have led me to the fields of practice in which I am involved in today. I am a mother and grandmother whose family continues to grow. I started my education before marriage and completed a Masters’ degree in Social Work when the youngest of my three children was three years old. Since then I have added clinical Hypnosis to my practice and in 2008 became certified as a HypnoBirthing Practitioner (choosing the Mongan Method and receiving training from the founder, Marie Mongan. How lucky am I?!) In 2010, I was certified as a HypnoBirthing Fertility Consultant. Continuing Education is something I highly value, so you can count on additional credentials as time passes. My desire to offer Mothers, Fathers and Babies the birth they hope and plan for, is met by offering HypnoBirthing and HypnoBirthing Fertility courses in the comfort of my living room. Light snacks support the ideal that healthy mothers give birth to healthy babies. I enjoy the opportunity to nurture physically as well as emotionally. It is my hope that whichever service I provide to you, you will experience professionalism, warmth, compassion and excellence in our interaction. |
