The 3 Big C's of Hypnosis:  Choose to Change and regain Control
Hypnosis is a wonderful tool for change and can be used in conjunction with other therapies.  It can be used successfully for:  weight loss, pain management, smoking cessation, improving test scores, stress management, improving sports performance, lowering blood pressure and improving health conditions.

If you could change one thing about yourself, right now, what would that be?  Hypnosis is all about change.  Changing habits, beliefs and behaviors.  Getting better.  Many people feel trapped by their habits and attitudes and they try to use willpower to change.  That's in the conscious mind.  Think of all the times you've consciously said to yourself, OK, that's it, I'm not going to smoke that cigarette, eat that extra muffin, have that next drink.  I'm going to hit the gym every day, eat healthy, conquer my fear of heights, and I'm not going to lose my temper again either!"  Or "this year, I'm going to do the marathon, I'm going to place the the tri...I'll train five days a week and I'll get back in shape.  No more junk food and no more late nights!"
You decide to do this with willpower. And it might work for a time.  But subconsciously, you resist change.  You find yourself slipping back into the same old troubling behavior, automatically. And when willpower fails, you feel ashamed and frustrated, as if you don't have a choice but to stay the same. Stuck. Or worse: out of control. Hypnosis gives you a choice.  It's an effective and safe method of changing behaviors.  How does it work?

When you are in hypnosis, we bypass the "critical factor" of you conscious mind...that part of you that analyzes, thinks, and "solves" problems.  And, as we said earlier, it's where your willpower resides.  Although the conscious mind is great for learning new things, and making decisions, it's not very good at dealing with ingrained habits and behaviors; those troublesome habits persist in the subconscious, and we need to change them at the subconscious level.

When you are in hypnosis, you relax in a very deep way.  We bypass the critical factor of your conscious mind, and we work with your subconscious mind by giving it suggestions.  The suggestions "re-program" your subconscious, motivating change in a very powerful way.  People are often surprised at how easy and enjoyable the process of change becomes, and how the feeling of choice opens up new possibilities and a sense of well being.  You can choose to stop a bad habit.  You can choose to let go of pain.  You can let go of stress.

With hypnosis you can regain healthy control. By the way, forget what you've seen on the stage or in movies; you are also in control during the entire hypnosis process.  If you resist hypnosis, it does not work.  And you can't do anything or say anything in hypnosis that you don't want to.  You are relaxed, but awake.  You will remember what you experienced.

Get in control, stay in control.  Then get on with your life!
